The celebrations dedicated to the 80th Anniversary of the Russian Imperial Union-Order were continued on 31 October 2009 in Saint Petersburg.
At 12 p.m. o’clock the Commander of the RIU-O Sir George Fedoroff took a shot from a gun of the St. Peter and Paul’s fortress of Saint Petersburg. After the shot carillon of the fortress’ clock played the melody of the Hymn of the Russian Empire “God, Bless the Tsar”. Then trooping the colour by the soldiers of the fortress’ garrison was made.

Then the monarchists came into the burial vault of the Imperial Family in the St. Peter and Paul’s Cathedral. There the lite was served near the graves of the Emperor in exile Kirill I (1924 – 1938) and the Head of the Russian Imperial House Grand Duke Vladimir Kirillovich (1938 – 1992).
At 3 p.m. the Commander of the RIU-O Sir George Fedoroff, the Secretary General of the RIU-O Sir Andrei Sorokin and the Member of the Supreme Council of the RIU-O Sir Boris Turovskiy participated in press conference in the Matilda Kshesinskaya Palace, where they narrated about the main steps and events of the history of the RIU-O and about further plans of the organisation to the journalists.
After the press conference the reception for honourable guests was organised in the Matilda Kshesinskaya Palace.
